(DALLAS BLOG)  Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel is not happy with President Barack Obama and he’s seeking ways to retaliate. He realizes that Apple is a strong financial supporter of the President and the Democratic Party, so he wants to hurt them in the pocketbook. Consequently, Israel has officially banned the imports of the Apple iPad into its country.

According to the Washington Times, “Israel has banned all imports of Apple’s hottest new product, the iPad, citing concerns that its wireless frequencies are incompatible with national standards.”

On Thursday, custom officials claimed that they already have confiscated approximately 10 iPads since Israel announced the new regulations this past week.

The nationwide ban prevents anyone, including tourists, from bringing an iPad into Israel until government officials certify that the computers are in compliance with local transmitter standards.

Customs will hold the confiscated iPads until their owners depart from the nation.

As reported by the Washington Times, “the iPad is a lightweight tablet combining the features of a notebook computer with the touch-pad functions of the iPad. It went on sale in the U.S. last week and can currently only be purchased there.”.
